Run a compliance check
The core workflow: weights in, a jurisdiction-aware verdict out.
The form
| Field | What it is |

| Jurisdiction | Which ruleset to apply — US Federal, a verified US state, Canada MOU, or a Canadian province. |
| Units | Imperial (lb / in) or metric (kg / m). The engine converts at the boundary; you enter whichever you scaled in. |
| Trailer profile | A saved rig geometry, or the built-in 53′ dry van. See Trailer profiles. |
| Steer / drive tandem / trailer tandem | The scale weight on each axle group. |
| Centre of gravity | The load's CoG along the trailer — drives how weight distributes across the axles. |
What runs behind the scenes
LoadLegit resolves the axle loads from your weights and CoG, then checks each group against the jurisdiction's limits — single-axle, tandem, tridem (6-axle), gross weight, and (US only) the Federal Bridge Formula on every consecutive axle group.
Each check consumes one credit
A verdict costs one credit. Packing a load and importing a manifest are free — you only spend a credit when you run compliance. See Credits & billing.
Results are guidance, not a guarantee. They depend on accurate input and current rule data. Confirm against a certified scale and the governing authority before hauling.
